He’s now one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars, with movies like The Fate Of The Furious snd Spy under his belt.

But Jason Statham‘s past as a backing dancer has crept out of the woodwork for the second time in recent years, appearing in a recently unearthed music video for 90s synthpop group Erasure.

The hunky actor, now 50, shows up in the background in nothing but a pair of pants, spray-painted with metallic paint, with a bright green ‘E’ on his chest, in homage to the band.

Golden boy! Hollywood hard man Jason Statham ᵴtriƥs down to just his pants and is sprayed with metallic paint to dance in resurfaced Erasure music video from 1994

Silver surfer: Jason Statham’s past as a backing dancer has crept out of the woodwork for the second time in recent years, appearing in a recently unearthed music video for 90s synthpop group Erasure

The British star of The Expendables shows off his beefy physique in the video as he prances around behind band members Andy Bell and Vince Clarke.

Showing off his toned body in tight underwear, Jason is seen pouting, throwing his arms around, saluting the camera and thrusting his body against a backdrop of a cloudy sky.

The video is for the song Run To The Sun, which was released in 1994, when Jason was just 26.

It came out four years after Jason competed in the Commonwealth Games as a diver.

Having only really been a modest diver (finishing eighth in the 1m springboard, 11th in the 3m springboard and 10th in the 10m platform in the 1990 Games), Jason quit the profession to venture into the world of show-business.

And this isn’t Jason’s first music video to come out of his closet: he can be seen shaking the stuff that God gave him in The Shamen’s video for their 1993 hit Comin’ On, one year before the Erasure appearance.

The star came across as a well-oiled dancing machine as he pumped his fists and thrust his hips in a pair of leopard-print pants in the video.

Clearly, Jason was a popular choice for promos in the Nineties psychedelic-influenced electronic dance music scene.
