This 1953 Lincoln Capri convertible received a ground-up restoration in 2016 and is powered by a 317ci V8 4V engine.
The fuel and brake systems have been completely rebuilt, as has the 4-speed automatic Hydramatic transmission.
The original radio has been fitted with modern AM/FM technology, and the power vacuum antenna has been rebuilt and works nicely.
It has had a recent new interior installed, all of the chrome has been replated and the car received new basecoat/clear coat paint.
Power windows and steering have also been rebuilt, and the power top works great with its new dark blue Haartz Stayfast canvas fabric.
The restoration on this Capri included detailing the engine compartment, a transmission rebuild, complete brake system rebuild with DOT-5 silicone fluid, master cylinder, booster and wheel cylinders with new brake lines, and a rebuilt fuel system, including tank, carburetor, fuel pump and lines.
It also included all-new weatherstripping throughout, complete new interior (including the door panels, seats and carpet), new trunk interior with original jack and a new spare tire, a new dark blue Stayfast soft-top, five new period-correct wide whitewall tires, a new exhaust and new chrome throughout.
A battery disconnect switch was installed under the right dash, and the original radio was converted to AM/FM/MPC digital with the original vacuum-power antenna. This beautiful Lincoln runs, drives and stops well. From the John Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection.
