John Cena is and always has been stronger than the Rock. When The Rock joined the WWE as Rocky maivia, he wasn’t what you would call in awesome shape. John Cena was already a amateur bodybuilder and powerlifter in his teens and has deadlifts and squats over 600 lb. Max bench press of almost 500. I’d venture to say that John Cena would never live any other way, refuses to eat one empty calorie, and his workouts are legendary. He doesn’t have nutritionists and personal chefs on call 24/7. And that’s where I’d say the Rock and Cena differ. You can tell that Cena enjoys his rigorous diet and torturous workouts. He enjoys that kind of lifestyle. The non permissiveness of it, the strictness of it. Regardless if he’s got a movie coming up or whatever the case is he maintains his regimen at all costs.
At the rocks peak, after months of grueling and intense training with specialized personal trainers, nutritionists, personal chefs Etc at his beck and call. The man can likely bench press similar to what John Cena can. But he can’t do that all year round 24/7. And he can’t squat or deadlift weight like Cena can either.
For Dwayne, his physical conditioning and appearance is motivated by money and fame. Now I can’t say that for sure but when money and fame wasn’t involved, he looked nothing like he does now. Long before John Cena became anybody, he was already competing in amateur bodybuilding and powerlifting events, and when joining the WWE was already as big and shredded as he is today if not more.
