se trata de timtams, un gato de 13 años, del tamaño de un gatito de cuatro meses y con un peso de tan solo 1,8 kg. Una vez que terminó en un refugio de Virginia y pasó mucho más tiempo del asignado allí, nadie quiso llevársela debido a su diminución anormal y su naturaleza muy modesta.
timtams se estaba quedando sin tiempo. Un poco más y el gato podría ser sacrificado. Pero Karin Poplin, quien fundó un refugio para gatos ancianos en Texas, se enteró de los timtams, y el destino de un gato pequeño e inútil la entristeció mucho. Karin vino especialmente para timtams de fuera del estado y la llevó a su casa para darle una vejez digna “en la jubilación”.
Así que los timtams se instalaron en Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary, dirigido por Karin y su esposo Gerald. En su refugio viven gatos mayores, así como gatos con discapacidades y gatos con enfermedades que requieren cuidados especiales.
timtams sigue siendo un gato callado y tímido, pero ahora tiene un dueño permanente y poco a poco se descongeló y comenzó a mostrar sentimientos de afecto por él.
La mayor parte del tiempo duermen tranquilamente en su sofá, y cuando caminan, lo hacen de la manera más silenciosa y discreta posible. Pero cuando ve a sus nuevos dueños, se alegra y quiere cariño. Le gusta mucho meter la cabeza en la mano de una persona y que la acaricien.
No tengas miedo de adoptar gatos mayores de un refugio. no te darán menos amor y estarán muy apegados a ti.
